About Your Visit

About Your Visit

We understand that dental work in general and root canal treatment in particular may cause a certain amount of anxiety. We excel in our customer care by providing a highly individualized approach with our patients. We strive to make your experience positive and comfortable.

Frequently, treatment can be completed on the same day as your consultation. Otherwise, an appointment will be scheduled promptly in order to complete the endodontic care that you require. Please assist us by providing the following information during your check-in:

  • Your referral slip. Here’s an example of a referral slip.

  • Completed patient forms. You may print the forms, fill them out, and bring them to your first appointment. Forms can be downloaded on our Patient Forms page.

  • A list of all current prescription and over-the-counter medications and supplements.

  • Any radiographs given to you by your general dentist (it may be necessary to acquire additional radiographs at our facility)

  • Your dental insurance information and insurance card. We will be able to better assist you with proper claim processing if you provide us with your insurance information at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Important:

  • A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 at the consultation visit.

  • Please do not take any prescription or over-the counter pain medications (e.g. Tylenol, Advil, Vicodin, Percocet, etc) or anti-anxiety medications (e.g. Valium, Xanax, Ativan, etc) at least 4 hours prior to your initial consultation, as they may interfere with diagnostic procedures.

Financial Policy

We understand that every patient’s financial situation is different. We provide a variety of payment options to help you receive the endodontic care that you need. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit Cards, Cash, and Personal Checks. We also offer in-house financing at no cost to you through CareCredit®.

Payment is expected at the time services are performed. Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.

The cost of endodontic treatment can vary depending on factors such as the tooth location in the mouth, the type of required endodontic procedure, and the restorative treatment requested by your general dentist. We will discuss the fees for the recommended treatment with you during your first visit.

Insurance Information

We excel in our customer care by providing a highly individualized relationship with our patients. We will assist you by facilitating your interaction with your insurance company and by collecting the necessary information prior to initiation of any treatment. We also, as a courtesy to you, will submit a claim to your insurance company on your behalf. At the time of service, we will collect an estimated co-payment (usually 20-30% of the full fee) for the portion of the treatment not covered by your insurance. The patient balance may change according to the actual insurance payment. If your insurance company pays in excess to what you have already paid on your total bill, a refund will be sent to you promptly.

Some patients may erroneously assume that if they have a dental insurance, it is their insurance that is under obligation to pay for our services. While our highly trained staff will help you maximize your insurance reimbursement for the covered procedures, any unpaid balance is a sole responsibility of each patient.

Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement.
